INTORDUCTION
The Copper Colors is an ongoing exploration led by Daishi Luo, unfolding as a dynamic system of inquiry that bridges the historical essence and future possibilities of copper’s chromatic transformations. Grounded in the alchemy of material evolution, this research traverses the realms of art, science, and ecology. The project is slated to premiere in an upcoming art exhibition, showcasing an experimental archive that includes generative algorithms, fieldwork discoveries, and molecular studies—a living repository of adaptive knowledge. By charting the metabolic interactions among humans, materials, and environments, the work reimagines copper’s color as a medium for ecological storytelling and a gateway to sustainable creation.
